Crunch counter with your camera
Lie on your back, knees bent, camera to the side. A full crunch cycle counts. No app, no account to start.

Get into position
Open Start workout, choose crunches, and allow your camera.
For the best results, lie on your back with your knees bent and position yourself side-on to the camera. Your full side profile should be visible so Calisthus can follow the movement from start to finish.
Hold the starting position for a moment while the counter checks your alignment. If someone else enters the frame, counting pauses until you’re the only person in view.

What counts as a crunch?
Calisthus is looking for a complete movement, not just a small lift of the head or shoulders.
After the initial alignment, a rep starts from the lying position, moves through the crunch, and finishes when you return to the starting position. Follow the range shown on screen to make sure each rep counts.
When you’re ready to finish your set, press Stop to save the reps you’ve completed.

FAQ
Does the crunch counter upload my camera?
No. Your camera is used locally while you exercise. Video and pose data stay in your browser during the workout.
Can I use it without an account?
Yes. You can start a crunch workout without signing in. Your set stays in the browser you’re using.
If you sign in with Google, your workout details can be saved to your account. Matchmaking also requires an account.
How does Calisthus count crunches?
Once you’ve held the starting position, the counter looks for a complete movement from lying back to the lifted position and back again.
The on-screen range helps show the movement required for a rep to count. Small or incomplete movements won’t be added to your total.
Where should I place the camera?
Use a side view with your knees bent and your body visible in the frame. A clear side profile gives the counter a better view of the movement.
Can I compete in a crunch 1v1?
Not at the moment. Crunches are for solo workouts.
The 1v1 Matchmaking feature is currently available for 60-second push-up competitions, with each player using their own device.
